| After two devastating
floods, Hermann Municipal Airport has been rebuilt and is back
in business, bigger and better than ever. The 3,200 foot
paved runway is 400 feet longer than before, and a new
10-place hanger is nearly full of resident airplanes. A
state grant has been approved for a large paved ramp with
tie-downs for visiting aircraft.
Hermann is a
popular destination for Midwest pilots and their
families. Modelers and groups like the St. Louis
Rotocraft Association are frequent visitors, along with
business people and elected officials.
